"Onions Don't Grow Here Anymore " is a book made during my master's in Graphic Storytelling at Luca.

It's a story of a woman and her bull traveling and trying to find a place to set up their life. On their journey the woman encounters 3 demons that represent the emotional struggles one faces when their home is gone and they are forced to start fresh. Each of the demon is a character that manipulates or alters their reality. The demon of nostalgia, depression, and anger are each personified in either a mythical creature or animal inspired from mesopotamian myths. 

The illustrations inside are made of paper cutouts as well as comic pages. 
The book is handbinded and the cover is silkscreened on japanese paper.
