Open Call

Your work in The Enchanted Garden?

For the tenth time, Tone Aanderaa and Ignace Clarysse are organising the festive international art exhibition 'The Enchanted Garden' during the summer months of 2023. To mark the tenth anniversary, they are launching an open call to allow artists to present themselves and their artworks.

The sculpture garden is located halfway between Brussels, Liège and Namur and on the tourist RAVEL cycle path connecting Leuven, Tienen, Hoegaarden, Jodoigne and Namur. The garden is conceived as an exhibition space where each sculpture is given its own place and shown to its full advantage and does not compete with other sculptures.

Deadline
8 January 2023
Participate

Due to the success of the glass exhibition in 2022, the organisers would like at least 50% of the works to contain "glass" facets and characteristics, i.e. show reflective, transparent or colour aspects and/or combine glass with other materials.

You can email a proposal of artworks that fit into the framework of this exhibition to info@ignace-clarysse.com & ArtSanctuary@live.com together with:

  • A short profile (maximum one A5) indicating why your works deserve a place in this exceptional exhibition
  • Reference to a website, past exhibitions, ...
  • Photos or sketches of possible works
  • Possible period (minimum one month, i.e. five consecutive weekends, maximum two months) during the exhibition period (Friday 9 June - 'The sculptures in spring colours' - Friday 23 June to Sunday 24 September 2023 - 'The sculptures in autumn colours' - Sunday 15 October 2023).
Selection

We expect your proposal by Monday, 9 January 2023.
Our selection committee may contact you during the month of January 2023 for further discussion and studio visit, if necessary.
In early March 2023, our selection committee will publish the list of selected artists.
In 2023, there is a fund that will compensate transport costs according to the modalities stipulated in the exhibition contract.
