I’m a Lithuanian artist whose work is deeply penetrated by the personal story of loss and longing.

When we lose someone we deeply love, when we fall into an abyss of grief, and our life becomes shattered, where do we find strength and meaning to go on? Where does the light come from while we wonder in ruins blinded by pain? How does the grief shape our identity? These are some of the most fundamental questions that my work invites to reflect upon.

My paintings are an intimate story, and yet they are profoundly universal because although loss is a very intimate experience, it is ultimately what connects us all as human beings.  Loss and the existential longing are the forces driving us endlessly to search for something that is absent, is “beyond” us, is missing and in its essence cannot be grasped, and defined. 

My artistic journey is a calling to search for a meaning and connection while telling a soulful story of pain, and beauty, of human life. It is also an invitation to the viewers to revisit their memories and lost fragments of life while exploring the enigmatic phenomenon of longing and ceaseless desire to find the deeper meaning beyond the physical realm.
