The story behind this drawing is inspired by my experience as a foster child. Before I got adopted, I was a foster child. That meant that I had to meet my biological mother a few times each year. I really didn't like seeing her, so every time that I did, I hid in a playhouse. When I became too big, I hid in different ways. I always knew that I didn't want to be like her, and I still always carry that fear with me.
