Looking For You, 2022 - Work in progress

I’ve been born in a family as only son surrounded by 4 sisters and 3 half-sisters.

I recall my mother being pregnant of a boy and having a misscariage so I’ve always been the only male around the house except for my father and our house cleaner. 
 

I had some uncles who came and went whenever but none of them could really mean something to me and be of a male figure in my life and we won’t even talk about my father, a personage who was there with out being there, just a mere shadow.

I could barely have any friends because my father was very strict and at school i would often get picked on and it was mostly because my skin just a couple of shades lighter than any other kids running around the playground. I’ve been alone most of the time and growing with my borderline I haven’t been able to have any solid friendships neither and I’ve always kept looking for something or someone, I can’t describe what I have been looking for but in any people I would meet I felt like I was always in a quest and trying to see through their skin, to see their soul.

Looking for you is born from that feeling and that sense of vagueness, loneliness and belonging. The project started in 2022 and is currently in progress.
