This comic stems from a conversation between my wife and me about AI - assisted elderly care. In China, the issue of elderly care is extremely serious. Due to the one - child policy, many children in families bear the heavy burden of supporting their parents alone. Nowadays, news about artificial intelligence is everywhere. As a comic artist, I often hear that our profession is on the verge of being replaced by AI. I'm deeply worried that one day I might lose my social value and be unable to earn money. What may follow are pressures from the family, especially in terms of elderly care. In the comic, I assume that there is an option of robot - assisted elderly care in the pension insurance. The protagonist, Wang, and his friend both choose this option, but it is far from problem - free and has many issues.
