Having been offered a residency at De Verffabriek, an artist-run space situated in a post-industrial suburb of Gent, we quickly recognised the need for social and neighbourhood engagement. Using a nearby and under-used residential green space as a starting point, the project built connections with local residents through a series of workshops reflecting on public space within the area, and where we imagined and built future uses for this local park.
