This artwork is inspired by womanhood/girlhood (not exclusively) and the struggle of going through puberty. The ladder and snakes board game represents (the loss of) childhood because of puberty (snakes: fertility, ladders: growing up). The eyes are looking at the tampon and they symbolise how it feels to have so many people judging your body and its changes. It also highlights the shame we feel for even having our periods, e.g. whispering when asking for a tampon, not talking about it, people without periods judging that experience etc.
