Snail shells, twine
Widening Circles began with the ritual of gathering snail shells while walking, first as a solitary act of mourning, then shared with others. Made entirely of biodegradable materials, the work takes a non-monumental form and will change as we change with time. Lots of small circles building a whole. Circles are a form that symbolise completion, they contain and protect like shells.
