MOVING ON

MOVING ON

"Moving On" is a DIY series I filmed on my iPhone and a shabby, broken handycam I bought from Marketplace, emerging after the end of my long-term romantic relationship. The series explores my

emotional limitations, struggles with financial concerns, my artistic career, and the pressure from my parents to improve my situation. Over two years of dating post-breakup, I discovered new ways to redefine my boundaries. My dates became sources of inspiration, collectively creating a world full of possibilities. Guided by intuition and using my iPhone as a diary, I captured these encounters. In each video, what might seem like incompetence is transformed into strength through both actions and dialogue. Rather than erasing limitations, I embraced them, weaving them into the visual language of the film, where vulnerabilities became integral to the narrative and aesthetic. This emphasized the idea that limitations are not just acknowledged but are actively used to shape the film’s form and message. “MOVING ON” is a video installation of the videos shown in my round bed.
