At the Softconnection Lab’s design summer camp, we set out to explore the city’s green spaces, those places often overlooked in our busy lives. I was struck with the potential we pass by daily without a second glance: cattails, willows, and even the prickly nettles and brambles.

Later on, equipped with techniques like winding, loop braiding, and weaving, we crafted simple, imaginative, low-tech pieces that proved you don’t need much more than a bit of effort and a willingness to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.
