Originally an idea for Halloween/Friday 13th and Manga-inspired, I quickly realized that our current reality surpasses any of the imaginary monsters we traditionally celebrate on Halloween.
So, it became a graphical comment on the global anxiety that surrounds me. It seems like we're on an elevator ride to a floor were we probably rather stay in the elevator.
On the other hand, it is not the first time we humans have faced (and caused) global monstrosities. I can only imagine how people must have felt during the run-ups to the world wars and earlier pandemics (hence the hint to the early 20th century style).
