Get funding for your media art project

Do you need support to develop your media art project? At BREEDBEELD, you can apply for up to €1,000 to create work that plays with the boundary between art and technology.
Your work falls within the broad definition of media art: from artist films to sound art and from bio-art to the development of software or hardware.
After selection, you will have one year to produce the work.
This funding is available to (as yet) non-professional media artists.

What can you apply for support for?
The project must fall within the broad definition of media art: from artist films to sound art and from bio-art to the development of software or hardware. In short, work that plays with the boundary between art and technology.

You can apply for €500 or €1,000, an amount that you can spend on the production of your work. As a creator, you decide how to spend your budget, e.g., purchasing wood, renting a camera, hiring a mentor, or spending a day in a fab lab.

How does the production period work?
After selection, you will work independently on your project. You will have one year to produce the work. You must have spent the requested amount and completed your project by Monday, January 4, 2027.

In May, BREEDBEELD will open its doors for Draft Mode, a relaxed public event where creators can share their work in progress. Selected participants and other creatives will have the opportunity to give each other feedback in a casual setting. There is no pressure to have anything finished: this is all about exchanging ideas, trying things out, and growing.
