International FiKVA Award for painters 2023

This competition aims to financially encourage, support and give artists the opportunity to exhibit their best work online. Enter the second edition of the International FiKVA Award for a chance to win more than €5000 in prizes.

The International FiKVA Award for Painters is a global online competition open to all artists aged 18 or over. The FiKVA Award welcomes entries within all genres: modern, classical and imaginative realism, hyperrealism, photographic and surrealism - as long as the artwork is realistic and not abstract.

The FiKVA Award is open to all 2D artists worldwide, aged 18 years or older.
Accepted media: oil, water-soluble oil paint, acrylic paint, watercolour, ink, gouache, tempera and all traditional media on any medium - paper, canvas, wood, copper, cardboard, panel, etc.

Participation fee:
To submit your work, you must register and pay an entry fee.
Participation in the FiKVA Award with only one work: €32
You can submit a maximum of 4 works, per additional work €16 will be added to the participation fee.

Prizes
First prize: A cash prize of 3000€ + participation in the finalists' online group exhibition + exclusive interview with John Dalton for his podcast "John Dalton - gently does it...." interview published on the FiKVA website + permanent place on the FiKVA website + promotion through our social media channels
Second prize: A cash prize of 1500€ + participation in the finalists' online group exhibition + interview published on the FiKVA website + permanent place on the FiKVA website + promotion through our social media channels
Third Prize: Cash prize of 500€ + participation in the finalists' online group exhibition + interview published on the FiKVA website. + permanent place on the FiKVA website + promotion through our social media channels
Honourable mention (3 will be awarded): Participation in the finalists' online group exhibition + permanent place on the FiKVA website + promotion through our social media channels

Rules

The work must be the original work of the artist. It must have been produced exclusively by the artist and the copyrights must be the exclusive property of the artist.
The work may be signed and may have participated in previous competitions.
The work may be sold, but the copyright of the image remains the exclusive property of the artist.
Only artworks produced between 2021 and 2023 will be admitted.
Works need not be available for live exhibition to participate and win.
Works need not be available for sale.
The work must be handmade, digital or mechanical artworks are not eligible.
