Fearful Symmetry
Fearful Symmetry
Thia image depicts humankind dominated by nature, although nature seems to be forgiving. The tiger seems somewhat domesticated creating an uneasy balance. The setting, a cleaning rag and artificial grass, in a leather frame add layered connections between humans and nature.
Through needle felting I can tell stories with my hands , layer by layer, letting the materials guide me. I embrace error as a generative force—tangles, knots, and layers of myth, body, and tactility.
