I’m Lieve, a Belgian sculptor, mainly sculpting in marble and alabaster.

In 2010, I started sculpting, first in soft stone (as everybody, I guess), but quite quickly I changed to alabaster, which I still like. The last 7 years I mainly work with marble, occasionaly still with alabaster and sometimes with limestone. 

Having followed some short workshops, I’m mainly an autodidact. For marble sculpting I went a few times to Carrara in Italy, following some workshops, but also just to rent  a workplace.

Since 2023 I’m having a workshop in Denmark (Baelum), where I work 5 à 6 months a year, mainly in summer time.

In that first year I made some sculptures with elements of Denmark, such as shells, stones, an antler, etc. Following that productive year, I had an exhibition in March 2024 in Belgium with the name The Danish Coll/nnection.

Till now I had 8 exhibitions, a few as part of a group of artists, but also 2 solo ones in Ostend/Belgium.

In 2025 I took part in the Artweek Kerteminde, Denmark and I'm already selected for the 2026 edition.
