Anderlecht

I have been living and working in Brussels since 2011. Before coming to Belgium, I spent many years in Asia, taught in China and Korea, and participated in residency programs in the USA, France, Sweden, Finland, and Germany, among others. I was a resident artist at WIELS in 2024.

I studied ethnography, literature, and anthropology, and obtained a doctorate at the University of Fine Arts Budapest. I wrote my thesis on the history of Chinese video art.

I work with a wide variety of media, primarily make sculptures, objects, photo-based work and video animations. In my studio in Anderlecht, I operate a non-profit showroom, the Streetview Anderlecht which supports young emerging artists. 

Community and personal memory, history, and sexuality are at the center of my visual interest.

Education

PhD in Visual Arts at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts. I wrote my thesis on the history of Chinese video art and its Western reception; 

I earned an MA in Literature, Linguistics and Cultural Anthropology at ELTE University, Budapest; 

A Vocational BA in Multimedia Development and Design
