Frozen world is a result of working with an archival image of the water crystallography project. Out of asking water to show itself to me and freezing it, there came a new planet. A frozen world. So I captured it in a lightbox.

Water crystallography is an ongoing artistic research project considering the different states of water, and the relation between resonance and water. Inspired by psuedo-scientific research on the possible ability of water to hold memory, I started questioning this research and creating my own visual based project around it. By putting an intention in water, asking the water something or holding an image underneath it, and freezing it with a calculated freezing method, a crystallisation appears. Everytime the crystallisation is revealing very different patterns. The process of this ungoing research is being archived and I am experimenting with different kinds of water sources. 

This project is about the importance of scientific research and truth as well as the importance of poetical language and daring to question reality as we know it.
