This wearable art exhibits the process the artist developed to fabricate three dimensional fabric forms impossible to achieve with traditional draping and drafting techniques. This process handles doubly-curved surfaces, flattening them into 2D patterns while allowing the maker to carefully control the deposition of flexible material on the fabric. Through varying their thicknesses and density for 3D printing, we can achieve desired structural behaviors when assembled in 3D.
