Triptych from the perspective of a Flemish garden depicts a Flemish Hortus Conclus. The work is a part of the series, Privaat domein. 

"Privaat Domein [Private Property] refers to a place where outsiders do not feel welcome. I experience the Flemish landscape as a closed landscape, this reflects itself not only in the view, but also in the psyche. Privaat Domein is a research on the contemporary version of the mediaeval enclosed garden, Hortus Conclusus, which is very present in Flanders. Furthermore, I investigate how religion affects the spatial arrangement of a place."

"Privaat domein verwijst naar een plek waar je als buitenstaander niet welkom bent. Beppe Geerts ervaart het Vlaamse landschap als een gesloten landschap, dit reflecteert zich niet enkel in het uitzicht, maar ook in de psyche. Ze voert onderzoek naar de eigentijdse versie van de middeleeuwse omsloten tuin, Hortus Conclusus, die prominent aanwezig is in Vlaanderen. Verder onderzoekt ze hoe religie een invloed heeft op de ruimtelijke ordening van een plek."
