guiding thread

where pain is woven into the tissues
and the tissues into life
the body is burdened
only dragging the mind along
so deeply attached to matter
and tangled up in the psyche
that it has almost become an art
to learn to live with it
as a suffering subject?

the chain of life
is it strong enough?
even when experimenting
starts with other paths
to take
the brainwaves
float above my head
in the rhythm of every impact

writing reports
breaking patterns
in a controllable world
where life is interwoven
with death
I get to work
with myself
as the guiding object now
I pick up the thread again

"l’art pour grandir trilogie": Guiding thread 

A triptych, trilogy consisting of a handloom, tufting work and a figure drawing or poetry picture with word art on it. When the Marionette's strings are broken, the guiding thread remains. The guiding thread is the umbilical cord of our head. Literally pick up the thread again, let yourself be led by it and see what happens to you.

You can remain stuck in the looms or .... through the academy and as a volunteer you can pick up the thread again through meaning and expression – full activities ... art works ! l’art pour grandir !

The weaving 2023 = 28 by 49 cm, in which the figure drawing from the first year of the figure drawing academy is woven. This is the result of a process framed within "l’art pour grandir" and is, to put it mildly, an expression of my turbulent first year at the academy.

Poetry and figure drawing 2023 = poetry picture 23 by 19.5 cm. If the work can speak, then this poetic text(ure) is its expression. Poetry applied with paint on transparent window paint film for adhesion to the poetry picture. The rope of the guide is made of felt.

The tufting 74 by 74 cm is recent, from October 15, 2023.

Ca vient de (it comes from,es kommt von) : ich (ik) bin oder Ben (ben) Bob (Bob) hé vader ? (E va ?) I like to work with this sentence as a wink to everyone, someone and no one, as if that is the most important thing to know who made this? (Everyone can make something, there is a little art in everything) So it comes from me. And it is not important whether my name is Ben, Bob or Eva... or Else. This work of art already has 1 name, a guideline... let yourself be guided by what it does to you or not...

”l’art pour grandir trilogie”  : leidraad   

Een drie luik , trilogie bestaande uit een handweef, tuft werk en modeltekening of poëzieplaatje met woordkunst  op. Als de touwtjes van de Marionette geknakt zijn blijft er nog de leidraad over. De leidraad is de navelstreng van ons hoofd. Letterlijk de draad terug opnemen, je erdoor laten leiden en zien wat er met je gebeurd. 

Je kunt in de getouwen blijven hangen of .... via de academie en als vrijwilliger de draad terug opnemen via betekenis en expressie – volle bezigheden…  kunst werkt ! l’art pour grandir ! 

Het weefwerk 2023 = 28 op 49 cm, waarin de modeltekening 1ste jaar modeltekenen academie verweven zit. Dit is de uitwerking van een proces te kaderen binnen “l’art pour grandir” en is op zijn zachtst gezegd de expressie van mijn woelig 1st jaar academie.

Poëzie en modeltekening 2023 = poëzieplaatje 23 op 19,5cm. Mocht het werk kunnen spreken dan is deze poëzie text(ure) de uiting ervan.  Poëzie dmv verf op doorzichtige window paint film aangebracht om op poëzieplaatje te kleven. Het touw van de leidraad bestaat uit vilt.

Het tuftwerk 74 op 74 cm is recent van 15/10/2023.

Ca vient de : Ik ben Bob é va ? Ik werk graag met deze zin als een knipoog naar iedereen, iemand en niemand,  alsof dat nu het belangrijkste is om te weten wie dit gemaakt heeft ?  (Iedereen kan iets maken, overal zit wel ergens een beetje kunst in) Het komt dus van ik. En het is niet belangrijk of ik Ben, Bob of Eva... of Els heet. Dit kunstwerk heeft al 1 naam, leidraad... laat je leiden door wat het met je doet of niet...
