Postnormal future

Postnormal future

Postnormal Future is a work made by Elena Zecchin from recycled materials that investigates the relationship of the Generation Z with their neuroqueer body, passing through the symbolism of the "ignorant" style tattoo and body modifications. This canvas was created with the aim of being explored, touched, as a fluid body is made up of soft parts, hair and tattoos, it is to be explored so that the viewer's attention is drawn to the textures and every detail, a journey into the mind of a neuroatypical person and their relationship with sensoriality.

Over time, the white surface will darken in the parts most touched by people, thus becoming a projection of their mental functioning and approach to the world. In this way, the canvas will not only reflect the functioning of the artist's atypical mind but will also accommodate the layers of neurodivergences of everyone who has come in contact with it.

Postnormal Future was first exhibited at Booming Art Show thanks to Artists for pride for Generation(z) exhibition, curated by Elisabetta Roncati.
Presented for the first time at Booming Contemporary Art Show in Bologna, 2023 and than part of the Queer Pandemia exhibition at Base Milano from 22/06 to 02/07 - 2023
