This jacquard, created in collaboration with the TextielMuseum in Tilburg, serves as an archive of yet-to-be-repaired objects. The purpose of this archive is to preserve the condition in which the pieces were found, including their fragility and damage, as a form of documentation. On the reverse side of the jacquard, the coordinates of each object's place of discovery are woven, embedding their origin directly into the fabric. This work marks the beginning of an ongoing series titled 'Archive I' and represents the first in a sequence of archives that will continue to evolve as part of my artistic process.
