This work is one work that belongs to an installation with different works, all about the absurdism, loneliness and alienation. But the work can also stand on it's own.

I started with making a movie of a student home in Ghent. There is nobody to be seen in the movie, but the sound indicates that people are present. The human being is present, but not visible.

Later on, I took out architectural elements of the building (that were visible in the movie) and made them in textile. I changed the proportions of the architectural elements, to make them look more absurd and strange.

The textile tiles are made out of mohair, cotton, plastic, iron wire and sewing thread. Because of all the details in the work, the viewer gets invited to look really close and lose themselves while looking at the work.
