This work "Layer by layer" is about my personal relationship to clothing. What does clothing do to me and how do I use clothing to express myself? What does clothing mean and what power relations come into play when we replace clothing with uniforms? Why does the aggressor like to put the victim in the nude? On the other hand, what tension is created when you put the aggressor naked? When I think about how vulnerable nudity feels to me, the first thing that comes up is how nudity comes across in a specific setting. I feel a strong sense of tension between a naked person juxtaposed against clothed persons. This situation can evoke feelings of intimidation, protest, power and violence. This performance is not a play; there is no speaking. The basis consists of a video production of about 45 minutes, where I add myself as an extra layer to add live performance to the projected images, to tell my story.
