Pierke na de bom
Pierke na de bom
Gemaakt voor FUTURE9000
By the year 2123, Pierke Pierlala had become the patron saint of the city of Gent.
A macabre yet jolly figure, he symbolized the enduring resilience and good humor of the Ghentians, who had braved the chaos and devastation wrought by rising sea levels and nuclear warfare that had so tragically characterized the latter end of the 21st century.
Imagery of him featured prominently during the 22nd century's Neo-Medievalist Renaissance, and was popularized by the upper classes that linked Ghent's newfound independence to its glorious medieval past.
