“DE-ASSOCIAT-ION-DOM was my bachelor project for LUCA School of Arts. 
Rashif Al Kaoui and Saloua Hassani were my mentors.

In this piece I play a version of myself stuck in the parallel universe of my subconscious. I take the audience on a journey through the loop of my brain and tackle the universal subject of shame. By embracing the embarrassing I build a bridge between me and the audience. This piece finds the strength to transform the embarrassing into an embracement. It states the following: “Hold me even though I am trash”.

By opting for trash as a material I aimed to look for beauty where it might not be expected.  I built my own world out of the trash from people who are closest to me. It showed me that what we throw away, hide or aim to forget might say far more then what we expect.
