'My Dog My Muse' is a project where I worked a whole year in different block printing techniques with as a sole constant that every print featured my dog Lola somehow. My dog is an easy source of inspiration to me, she's always near and very pretty to look at. Next to this, taking her out on her two daily walks grounds my day and helps me to come up with air in a hectic, busy world.

To paraphrase David Hockney: "I make no apologies for the apparent subject matter. This little creature is my friend. She's intelligent, loving, comical and often bored. She watches me work; I notice the warm shapes she makes, her sadness and her delights."
