Fragment of a childhood memory in Croatia

Memories live in a fragile space. They change as we return to them, reshaped by what we need or fear to remember. Illness can take them away, and time can blur their edges until they are difficult to hold. Yet even when incomplete, they continue to steady us. They are not perfect, not whole, but they carry us through difficult moments and remind us that we have endured before. In their quiet presence lies the possibility of beginning again. Hope rests inside them—not as a victory, but as something tender and human, fragile yet enough to keep us moving forward.

Through the Blur is a series born from moments glimpsed through rain-streaked glass—where clarity gives way to softness, and the world reshapes itself in fluid forms. I chose subjects seen behind rainy windows as a metaphor for transformation: nothing remains fixed, everything morphs. The shifting light, the colors of the surroundings, even the angle of the viewer all alter what is seen—reminding us that perception is reality. In this series, ambiguity becomes expression, and distortion becomes truth.

A Note
Much of my work is highly tactile and reflective—its appearance shifts with changes in light, angle, and the viewer’s position. As a result, color and contrast can vary significantly, making it nearly impossible to maintain perfect consistency across photographs and videos. If you notice differences between images of the same piece, this is both expected and intentional.
