Humanity’s impact on nature is everywhere—an undeniable truth we often overlook, especially when it doesn’t touch us directly.

For much of human history, the night sky was sacred. It guided us, inspired us, and shaped our myths and beliefs. Today, for most, that connection has dimmed. Yet not for all. Some still search for the beauty of the cosmos, though it grows increasingly difficult to see. Airplanes, city lights, satellites—our modern conveniences quietly intrude, even when the world is asleep.

In this work, I choose not to erase those traces. Instead, I embrace them. The flaws that astrophotographers usually fight to eliminate become part of the story here. Just as a damaged painting carries the marks of its history, the night sky too now bears the imprint of our presence.
