COFFEE MILL
COFFEE MILL
POEM:
getting adopted and adopting an old coffee mill. apologising for gliding down the stairs in a red laundry basket. apologising for not sending in my tax papers when they were due, red notice. worrying about the graze on my knee. noticing a wrinkle in the carpet. my face and all the wrinkles I see, worrying about everything all the time. now, now, now. becoming the failure they said I was going to be. grinding all potential to dust, only spinning the mill once.
