A journey of eternal (re)discovery of a place that feels like home.

As a sailor, I formed a connection with the Scheldt from an early age. I became familiar with her tidal rhythms and strong currents while sitting safely aboard the boat. As I grew older, my passion for sailing deepened, and I found myself inexplicably drawn to the water.

With a camera in hand, I sought to connect with the water from a different perspective: through the viewfinder on the banks of the river, rather than floating on the water. On these expeditions, I attempted to unravel the secrets she holds. But with every tide and every wave, the knowledge I uncovered became unknown once again.
