Cyanotype on Linen

A blueprint sketches what is invisible to the naked eye. It can reveal a layout, a structure, a plan. This is a plan of what happens beneath the surface of the rough waters of the Scheldt—what we cannot normally see, hidden like the cables and pipelines in a house. The unsightly parts are pushed away, yet they will always be shown on the blueprint.
