“Maakplaats” is a personal exploration of the city of Brussels and the appropriation of public spaces.

The film is based on the director’s first encounters in Brussels. It poses some naive but honest questions about the gaze, femininity and masculinity through a combination of both live-action documentary footage and cut-out animated fragments.
