Draad

What is the story behind your work? What stories, memories or traditions are intertwined into it? With the open call ‘Draad’ ('Thread'), Kunstwerkt & Texture are looking for visual artists who use textiles in their work. They are searching for textiles in the broadest meaning of the word. Slide your story ahead with ‘Draad’.

Submit your work until 12 November. A jury constisting of Han Decorte, Benjamin Mengistu Navet and Indre Svirplyte, will then consider the online submissions. If your work is selected, it will be part of the group exhibition of the same name at Texture in spring 2024.

Participation is free of charge.

You can apply by submitting your work on the online platform Beeld until 12 November 2023. You submit with an image of your work, along with a brief explanation and dimensions of your work via the submission form.

You can submit one work until midnight on Sunday 12 November 2023. In the entry form, you can upload up to five images and/or videos of that work.

Technical requirements
  • With 'Draad', we want to be able to exhibit a wide range of textile creations. For this, all types of works are allowed, but they must contain at least an element of textile to be selected by the jury.
  • A series or a set (a work consisting of several parts) is allowed.
  • When adding a series of works to Beeld, do this by adding several photos within the same work. Please state this clearly in the title of your work and in the description.
  • There is no minimum or maximum size. 
  • Your work is not framed.
