Millennial Medium is a performance that traces the temporal spectrum of sculpture from 1999 to 2039. Inviting a choreographer born in 1999 to walk the runway holding a small robot toy, the work revisits the millennial imagination when society projected futuristic optimism onto the year 2000. By reordering past, present, and future forms of sculpture, it reflects on how art negotiates time and material in the post-millennial era.
