A netted, nested keepsake
A netted, nested keepsake
In this project, I explore how a textile image can preserve and extend the life of a cherished textile object. The object, a net, is first captured through photography and then translated into a woven image. I made the weave wrinkled, aiming to evoke a sense of movement, change and the passage of time. As the image of the net crinkles and shifts, the net appears less like a representation and more like a presence—tentative, remembered, momentarily reappearing in the room.
