I live and create my artwork in the city of Ghent (Belgium). 

I followed different art classes (drawing, painting) at Sint-Lucas Academy, DKO Ghent. Now I am following project work.

Due to my work as a biologist I was able to experience the overwhelming beauty of natural rainforests, however, at the same time I also was confronted with the human impact of deforestation. As a biologist I am deeply concerned about the size and emergency of the climate and ecological crisis we are facing right now.

I also experience the daily benefits of mindfulness meditation, making me aware of the urge to take action without being overwhelmed by fear or escape in denial. I hope to share that awareness through my little paintings. I believe that once we understand the full meaning and consequences of this crisis and once we are able to face it with clear insight and awareness, each one of us knows what to do.

I hope to help and communicate the beauty and fragility of mother earth in a time of extreme environmental threats.
